Why does a pool cage get so dirty?
A screen enclosure traps leaves, pollen and moisture, and the aluminum frames and screens grow mildew and algae, especially on the shaded side. The frames go black, the screens go gray, and the deck underneath collects what drips off.
How do you clean screens without tearing them?
Screens tear and stretch under high pressure, so pool cages get a soft wash: a low-pressure cleaning solution that kills the growth on the frames and screens, then a gentle rinse. We work from the top down so the dirt comes off the frames before we finish the deck.
What about the pool?
We keep runoff out of the pool as much as we can and rinse carefully around it. If you would like the pool covered or the pump off during the visit, tell us and we will plan for it.
What does pool cage cleaning cost?
The pool cage is part of every Full Club visit, four times a year ($171 a month and up). On its own, or for Plus and Essentials members, pool cage and screen enclosure cleaning is from $175, with your plan discount off. See plans and prices.
